About Semaglutide

Semaglutide imitates GLP-1, a hormone that signals fullness to your brain and slows digestion. Many people find they think about food less and feel satisfied with smaller portions.

Your Forma Wellness clinician reviews your answers, decides whether semaglutide is appropriate, and builds a gentle titration schedule to help you stay comfortable.

How to use

Inject once weekly under the skin of the stomach, thigh or upper arm. Use the dose your clinician prescribes and rotate sites each week.

What to expect
  • Weeks 1–4: starting dose; many people notice smaller appetites.
  • Months 2–4: dose steps up if you are tolerating it well.
  • Ongoing: regular reviews to find the dose that works for you.

Individual results vary. Prescriptions are never guaranteed.

Semaglutide FAQ

Still wondering about something? Email the care team.

Is the injection painful?

The needle is very fine and goes just under the skin. Most people describe a quick pinch.

Can I switch to tablets later?

Possibly. Talk to your care team. Your clinician can decide whether moving to a tablet makes sense for you.

How should I store it?

Keep the vial in the refrigerator unless your pharmacy label says otherwise, and never freeze it.

What happens if I miss a dose?

Follow your label instructions and message your care team. In general, do not take two doses close together.
